Father Claims Wrongful Death in Fatal DUI Crash

The father of a 20 year old man killed in a Christmas Day crash has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the man charged with DUI in the crash. Brian Prendergast the father of Justin Prendergast filed the suit against Branko Curcic and his parents for the Dec. 25, 2007 crash.  This lawsuit was filed in the Cook County Circuit Courts. The Transportation Interim Committee approved proposed changes Wednesday to the state?s drunk driving laws that could make it tougher for a person convicted of driving under the influence to have their criminal records wiped clean. Woman Sentence to Jail Time For DUI

Judge Barbara Buchanan sentenced a women to 180 days in jail with 170 days suspended. She was placed on supervised probation for two years and her license was suspended for three months.
