In 2007, Rometo gave his friend, Joshua Ricketts, cocaine, Ecstasy, and inhalants. While Ricketts was driving, Rometo passed him a shirt with the inhalant. After sniffing the inhalant, Ricketts passed out and struck a telephone pole. Brandy Morris, the front-seat passenger of the vehicle, died as a result of the crash.
